Delivery policy

Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 3 working days and delivery confirmed by way of email containing shipping company’s tracking number.

Return and Refunds Policy

Please complete the Returns Request for an Expedition Gear Returns Authorization Number before attempting to return goods for exchange or refund.

Returns will not be inspected, credited or exchanged by Expedition Gear unless:
An Expedition Gear Returns Authorization number is clearly visible on the outside of the package.
The package has been returned packed to the same standard as it was received, to avoid damage during transit.
If goods are received in a re-sellable condition, then a full refund will be paid. In some cases where goods are pre-packed by manufacturers, a 10% re-packaging charge may be made.
Ensure the parcel is made available for collection on the agreed day as each collection attempt will be charged for.
Return carriage charges will be paid by Expedition Gear should Expedition Gear be at fault. Carriage charges will be paid by the customer, should the customer be at fault.
Incorrect parts received:
If Expedition Gear has supplied the incorrect parts, we will collect the parcel at our expense or refund postal costs incurred.
If the customer has ordered the incorrect parts or no longer requires them. Expedition Gear must be notified within 15 days of receipt of the goods. If required Expedition Gear can arrange to have the goods collected and returned to us on your behalf.
Faulty goods:
Any part that appears to be faulty can be sent to Expedition Gear for inspection and return to Supplier/ Manufacturer. If found to be of faulty manufacturer, full refund of part and carriage cost will be given. Expedition Gear will not be held liable for any loss of time or expenses as a result of any failure.
If the original part is found to have failed due to damage when fitting, or, in the case of electrical goods, due to faulty wiring, refund of part cost will not be made.

Payment Options Accepted

Payment may be made via Visa, Master Card, Diners or American Express credit cards or by bank transfer into the Expedition Gear bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.

Credit Card Acquiring and Security

Credit card transactions will be acquired for Expedition Gear by Virtual Card Service (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for Nedbank of South Africa. ShopDirect uses SSL3 and credit card information is stored per Visa and MasterCard guidelines on the website. Users may go to www.shopdirect.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy. 

Customer Details Separate from Card Details

Customer details will be stored by Expedition Gear separately from card details which are entered by the client on ShopDirect’s secure site. For more detail on ShopDirect refer to www.shopdirect.co.za

Availability of Goods

The provision of goods and services by Expedition Gear is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Expedition Gear will refund the client in full within 30 days. 

Cancellation of orders

Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a R50 administration fee.
